I had a dream.

Just before dawn

I was cruising down the highway

west.

away from all this mess. The mountains ahead of me,

deep blue in the ever lightening mist

I don't know what's ahead

I know I can't run

from all the memories,

so I packed them in a suitcase and brought them.

hoping

to meet someone,

or something,

that can take away all the pain.
